The best builders we know don't sit still. They're running between meetings, putting kids to bed, on a flight, between gym sets. The products they ship are paid for in those gaps — not in eight-hour blocks at a desk.

Most coding tools were not designed for this. Inline editors, agentic IDEs, pair-programmers — they all assume you're sitting at a keyboard, with both hands, focused on one product, for a sustained block of time. They optimize speed-per-keystroke. That's the wrong loss function for a builder running ten things.

What we believe

Continuity of momentum beats speed-per-keystroke.If a fix takes three minutes of typing but eight hours of waiting for context, it's an eight-hour fix. The win is in compressing the wait, not the typing.

The agent ships while you walk. You describe the outcome. The agent edits, tests, opens a PR. You review from wherever you are. The decision is yours; the execution is hours of your life back.

Your code stays yours.Your workspace is encrypted and continuously backed up, so a from-scratch project, an idle pause, or a restart never costs you work. We persist it only to keep your work safe and resumable — never to resell it, train on it, or lock you in. GitHub stays your source of truth; publish whenever you're ready, and a workspace is destroyed when you destroy the agent.

We ship our own product this way.FlareCode is built with FlareCode — every change starts as a plain-English task, runs in an isolated sandbox, and arrives as a Pull Request we review and merge by hand. We won't ask you to ship with a loop we don't trust with our own code.

What we will not ship

No auto-merge by default. Pro plan customers can opt in per-repo. Everyone else, every change ends in a human review.

No silent stack-name dropping.Customers care that the agent ships, not what it ships on. The stack we use changes when something better arrives. Yours shouldn't have to.

No AI slop.If the agent isn't sure, it stops and asks. If a task is ambiguous, the PR description says so. We'd rather one slow, correct PR than ten fast, mediocre ones.

No marketplace, no plugin store, no platform-on-platform layer.The agent is the product. When it's great, you don't need a hundred plugins.

What we're betting on

That a small but real number of builders are running too many products to sit at a desk for any of them. That async-first, mobile-first, multi-repo coding agents are the right shape for those builders. That transparent, usage-based pricing — inference billed at cost, never marked up — beats opaque per-token reselling.
